Personal bio

Svitlana has been working in the waste management field since 2020, when she joined the project office “Smart Environment, Khmelnytskyi.” Her work focuses primarily on educational projects and initiatives, as well as on the creation and development of the “hard” projects such as the Waste Management Educational Center “Gufi Center” and the Library of Things in Khmelnytskyi. In addition, Svitlana contributes to the creation and ongoing support of other municipal initiatives in Khmelnytskyi, including the Ecobus and Waste Management Centers.

In 2023, Svitlana joined the team of Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine. Since then, she has been responsible for the implementation of the Zero Waste Cities Programme in Ukraine. Currently, she mentors two Ukrainian cities on their path toward achieving Zero Waste Cities (ZWC) status. Also, she supports the interactive “Zero Waste Cities” platform by collecting and systematizing practical case studies in the zero waste field.
